Our Story

When The Girl and The Boy Met

One fine day at the start of autumn, in a quiet neighborhood in Tokyo, a Girl walked into a classroom on the first day of language school. She was the kind of student that always had a pen ready, who sat at the very frontmost seat and raised her hand before the question was finished.

Seated at the very back of that same room was a Boy—quiet, thoughtful, and observant. He didn’t speak much that first day, but when he did, his answer floated to the front of the class—correct, composed, and just ahead of the Girl’s own answer.

From that moment, something ignited: a spark of rivalry. She took notice.

The next day, everything shifted. As she walked into the classroom, the Girl paused at the aisle—and instead of returning to her seat at the front, she sat down beside the Boy. That day, he spoke to her for the first time. Not a day has passed since then that they haven’t.

Over the following two weeks, they were nearly inseparable—exploring, laughing, learning, and slowly realizing that what they shared was more than chance. It wasn’t long before they finally admitted, with shy smiles and honest eyes, that they were already something more.

Three months later, the Boy handed her a blue feather and a heartfelt letter. He remembered what she once told him: how she had always dreamed of being proposed to in the same manner as it was in a game from her childhood, from “Harvest Moon.” He listened. Their promise has since rested on her ring finger.

Four years passed. Through different seasons, different cities, and the beautiful quiet of everyday life, they spent their days together. They registered their marriage at a time of pandemic and adversity, content in the bond that was already sealed in their hearts.

And now, on the fifth month of this year, they finally gather to celebrate that love—with friends and family, with all the joy that comes from waiting for something truly worth it, and the comfort that their time has unfolded at just the right pace.

And though as if through serendipity, the story of the Girl and the Boy began—the pages keep turning in the universe of their ever-after:

A constant happiness found in “To Be Continued.”
